Enfamil Formula Milk Review

When choosing something as important as your baby’s nutrition, it surely helps to know you’re using a product that leads its category or comes highly recommended by those you trust. And when it comes to choosing formula for babies, there’s nothing like a recommendation from a trusted source.

Enfamil A+ is the #1 formula brand recommended by paediatricians. Since a baby’s digestive system can be delicate, you want to do all you can to make feeding go smoothly. Enfamil is not only tummy friendly and easy to digest but a closest formula to breastmilk. In fact it has a whey to casein ratio that is very similar to breast milk. Another huge plus in Enfamil Infant Formula is the addition of prebiotics. There is a dual prebiotic blend in this formula that is found in breast milk. Enfamil A+ formulas also have DHA that is an important nutrient for baby’s growing brain. It contributes to the visual development of infants up to 12 months of age.

However, there are a few downsides to Enfamil Infant Formula, as there usually are with any formula. The first low is the use of palm olein oil as an added fat. This oil has been shown to reduce the rate of calcium and fat absorption in babies, a big no-no when we want babies with healthy bones and fat levels! Also, palm olein oil has been proven to harden stools which can lead to constipation and digestive issues, also a big no-no when we want babies to have a healthy gut and immune system. Enfamil Infant Formula is also not organic and does not hold the ingredients used in this formula to high organic standards. This means they can source their ingredients from plants and animals that have been treated with pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones, antibiotics or steroids.

I was not sure which formula milk to use when Ibrahim was born. However, I tried another brand which didn’t suit him at all. Then I came to Enfamil based on a pharmacist’s recommendations. However, I am happy to share my success story while trying to select formula for my baby and I strongly recommend Enfamil to First-time Moms like me.
